35 vs 37 Fuel economy different?

I average 15.3 mpg driving 17 miles to work a couple times a week on my 2023 37 package. I average 15.5 - 17 mpg strictly hwy will full fuel driving in normal mode but sport steering, suspension and Baja exhaust. I only use 87 octane and I’ve never had issues. I typically drive 10 sometimes 15 mph over the speed limit depending on traffic. The best I’ve gotten was 18.8 driving 45 mph in a 60 mph zone in heavy rain. I’ve had 2 previous 4Runners that averaged 19 mph and never over 21 mpg.

This seems to be how mine operates as well. While I have seen 17.2 on the highway, it typically stays at 17 even. I’ve never seen 18’s, but I also don’t have a spot where I cruise at 45mph.

I’ve had both a 35 and a 37. I’m getting about 1.5-2 less mpg on the 37. I like the look and ride of the 37 much better, but I’ll admit it’s probably not worth what they charge for it.

Don’t know what to tell you. I drive 75 on the highway. I’m consistently getting 590-594 miles per tank. And I’m an MedEvac pilot in Upstate NY for work, so it’s definitely not downhill.

What mode and settings you running? Just curious.

You are one of the only people I can think of that seems to be getting this mpg. I need to start driving downhill everywhere.

I run MPT 93 Performance Tune, quiet exhaust. I don’t drive it like I did my TRX, so maybe that’s why I get the mileage I do. But I can tell you, I’m no p u s s on the throttle either. Mileage did drop a tad on winter blend, but is back on the rise now that it’s warming up again and fuel blends are changing. My brick shaped bronco on 37” tires gets 16.1 mpg. It also has a Performance Tune.

LMAO. Maybe it wasn’t in boost when I hit 108 the other night. IDK. But I do not drag race it light to light either.

Truth is, the 37PP doesn’t feel great much beyond that speed. It likes to start wandering.

ive been surprised how "ok" the 35 package feels up to limiter, but i havent tried it on a windy day for obv reasons
