no....

They have to remove the spark plugs to do the cam phasers.....when they take those out....I just want them to put new ones back in @ 48,ooo miles. I should not have to pay labor to put new ones in vs putting the old ones back in.

Agree on fordtech's error. Gosh, this is exactly why not to own an ecoboost because you have to live the service life. These yo yo ford service center monkey idiots can't do anything right... not even follow simple commands. The ecoboost nightmare is legit.

You’re really on a roll tonight Sasquatch. Your mom let you back on the internet? The only nightmare is your existence, you’re a moron.

yeah...plugs out makes it easier to spin the engine and valves as needed and not fight compression. all the pictures and videos I have seen have them removed.
Just to clarify, service procedure does not instruct to remove the spark plugs, nor have I ever removed plugs when doing a timing job, belt or chain. It’s simply an unnecessary step. But glad they at least took care of you, since the coils were off already it’s still less labor.

The "last update" from the ap was time stamped.....means the truck had not been touched since...no door lock, no lock, no start, no movement

My rattle started a little over a month ago. Took it in for normal service and mentioned it to the dealership. They said let's discuss fixing the cam phasers at your next oil change. Any reason to put this off? Does the fox only last so long? I'm currently at 43k. My service supervisor said I'm covered for the fix until 60k. I have Ford ESP for 8 years, 125k.

Well--I joined the Cool Kids Club. Developed the cam phaser rattle in my '19 at 41k miles on cold start up about 4 weeks ago, then noticed it intermittently cranking longer on cold start. Took it to the dealer and they were cool. Ordered parts and put me in line. They have a 3-4 week wait for this, doing them every day. Not worried about the cam phaser replacement but after reading this I am concerned about the longer cranking for 5-6 seconds. Service Writer didn't seem too concernced. Thoughts?
