I've noticed a few people here on FRF that have been concerned about the bypass tubes on their rear 3.0 shocks getting sand blasted or rocks hitting them and damaging them.
I have also been concerned and was thinking of making something with aluminum to help protect them. I decided to use a piece of the HD Polyethylene material that I used for the front air dam on my front bumper.
Simple cut out piece long enough to cover the tubes and ends with large heavy duty tie wraps to hold them on. I'm not sure yet if I will put hose clamps on instead. Here's a dirty picture of what I did. 12" piece of material with 4 slits and 4 HD tie wraps to hold them on.

I used the same material as my front bumper.

You can get the material I used here.

May not look pretty, but if it offers protection to your rear shocks, who cares? Thanks for the link and pics...when I get 3.0's this is what I was thinking about doing.

If you want some extra shock protection, take a look at our shock mounts:
Suspension : Lower shock mount Plates | LGE*CTS Motorsports home of L&G Enterprises and Custom Truck Shop

Our lower shock mount reinforcement plates help protect that factory shock mount from being bent or tearing loose when traveling in a rougher terrain.

We also sell the upper shock mounts as well, and you can purchase them as a set. PM me if you have questions.

I think your product is a good alternative to reinforcing weak areas on the Raptors rear suspension and helps to protect the possibility of mounts that crack, or tear off.
The object of my post was to give a cheap idea for just protecting the finish and adjuster screws. I think were talking apples to oranges here maybe.

yea, their not very pretty but this is after a jaunt in desert and over some rocky roads. Just shows that the material can handle the blasting of the rocks and sand pretty well.
