What!? "Trolling is a waste....!" How could you think that. Here i was thinking my whole life through that trolls were the spice of the internet, providing us with a counterpoint to our own little echo chambers....
Well! There goes another of my life long beliefs...

I know for a fact that presidents/ vice presidents and marketing people read these forums. Whether or not they troll, and post crap about other makes is a possibility.

The interior quality on the new Ram trucks is certainly superior to the current F-150 and Raptor, that has turned a few guys I know, but the rest of the truck is still a FCA product and the mechanical quality on the examples I’ve seen is sub par.

The other factor in this race is fuel economy. The Gen 2 Raptor does ok for what it is, and the likely hybrid powered Gen 3 should do better. That supercharger whine is the sound of money exploding (quoting Jeremy Clarkson) and the TRX will probably muster 12 MPG like the Power Wagon does. I realize most on here make fun of people mentioning MPG, but it’s certainly a factor for some for either economic or ecological reasons depending on where you live and whom you associate with.

@BroncoAZ "That supercharger whine is the sound of money exploding"...
But...OH,what an intoxicating sound..!! So I have 1 less beer to pay for the extra gas,and get drunk from the sound driving home....everything in life is a trade off....people will pay $5-$10 ++ to ride a Roller Coaster to get that pushed back in the seat thrill....all the better when us guys with SuperChargers can do it every day AND...be the one in control of the ride...

I dont know if the VPs are trolling, but i posted a thread about the Rebel TRX but was deleted, I guess my post may have been too much on the topic.

As far as pricing I dont think it would affect pricing on the Raptors as a fully loaded spec will run into the Shelby Raptor price range. The interior on the Rebel is much nicer with the 12" screen, red trim interior, etc.

I wanted to like it but it's no raptor. Just a Big **** motor and that's it. Maybe now all the V8 fan boys can go and get one.

I wouldn't count it out completely. 13" front travel, 14" rear travel, linked rear end with a dana 60... It does have some questionable options but it is 8" wider than a standard ram (1.5" wider than Raptor) and a lot of travel. My Raptor isn't going anywhere but I think it's pretty competitive.

I thought I heard the track was 6” wider? The truck has some equipment no doubt. It certainly may be a performer. Your just going to have to pay a lot more for it and like those looks.

My bad. 8" wider than a standard F150. 6" wider than standard Ram. TRX is 88" wide and Raptor is 86.3

After seeing how much the TRX is starting out at, I think the Raptor will be ok. But me personally I wouldn't be worried about the resale value of the Raptor or any other car/truck I have. When I get my Raptor, I will be keeping it until it doesn't run any more. Will I beat on it, most likely not. Will it see some field use, for sure. Will I take care of it and keep it nice, yes! If you take care of the things you buy and use, it will take care of you! Don't worry about the resale value of anything.

It starts at $71,690. I just built one the climbed to $95k without adding all the OEM accessories available. Different segment all together. It starts near the top of the Raptor's price range. When Ford does a Gen 3 with an optional charged V8 that truck will be in a similar price range and will be a direct competitor to the TRX. The current Raptor and I bet also the standard engine Gen 3 aren't direct competitors because they're a whole price bracket away.

I agree with most of these posts. I have only owned 1 Mopar and that was a 68 Dodge Charger and I loved it. I bought my 2018 Raptors and plan on keeping it until it falls apart or I get to feeble to get into it. I don’t really like the looks of the Dodge trucks.
