Why undercoat then??

I like I clean easy to maintain undercarriage haha

Also I’m right on the ocean so salt air is still corrosive and I will take the truck out on dry winter days most likely, always like to protect my vehicles as much as I can.

Not the Amsoil HDMP….there is a huge write up on it here. I will see if I can post the link. It cures within 24hrs and is dry….almost like a ceramic coating

Yes and no. Been using MPHD on my Gen 1 truck, my Gen 3 truck, and my wife's bronco. It does cure in about 24 hours and dries solid enough that you can wash it with high pressure water without the fear of accidently removing it. I will say that its not like a coating, it will have a slight tackiness to it, so its not smooth.

For the type of driving OP is describing i would not apply any undercoating.

Clear Undercoat

I used the Amsoil, but found that Plasti-dip makes a clear spray on....anyone try it? When I used the amsoil, I didn't let it get hard before I drove the truck, and I have dirt stuck in places in it now...:/ I use Fluid Film regularly, and I don't think I'd use it as an undercoat...cable lube...

Before any races I plan on using expanding spray foam to fill in all the grill holes for better aero….should compensate for the drag caused by slightly tacky metal protectant
