yeah, easy for European and Asian countries other than Russia & China to agree to, but when you have to get goods 8-12 hours away and there’s no viable air transport option, how is that stuff getting there? Not by electric.

There will be so many exceptions made to this that it's beyond pointless. This will be another example of Kabuki Theater at it's best. Sure makes for good PR with the current administration though.

Gentleman, the power grid in the US is nowhere near ready to handle all vehicles charging on it. Think about an office building when a few people bring in space heaters or coffee pots, imagine every current registered vehicle on the road needing to charge on the power grid. Forget about charging stations needed, we need massive power transmission and distribution upgrades across the country to accommodate even any substantial increase in electric vehicles, let alone everyone now being EV in less than 15-20 years...

A person would hope that in another 18 years the technology for electrified vehicles will have advanced 10 fold, possible regenerating the batteries so they never end up in landfills, better and easier recharging capacities. Maybe even your household solar panels will charge your vehicles and house and have ample storage capabilities for power outages.

I agree 100%, the idea is that you’ll be able to recharge your vehicle at home within your own grid power system. Now saying that, if we are talking solar power than that needs to be in a sunny climate, raining climates, etc will need alternative power generating systems, not sure what those would be, other than wind generators.
