My 2025 37" Package comes in at the end of month and I'm trying to determine if it has front limited slip or not. I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Anyone know for sure?

The Raptor _used to_ come with an optional front Torsen differential, but that was dropped in MY ’22 IIRC. It can be added if you have the $$$.

Ford asserts their electronic controls do as effective a job as the Torsen and nobody here has disproven that.

Take this with a grain of salt because I have a truck with the LSD and have not driven a newer one without it. In theory there is a fundamental difference between the two that can’t be ignored. Brakes dissipate power so using brakes to simulate an LSD effectively reduces the available power. With an LSD you may not have traction, but you do have full power.

I've have yet to read anyone that has said they needed a torsen.

I've had a 18, 19 with the torsion and the 23 without and I offload A LOT. I haven't noticed a damn thing between the trucks. The guys I run with don't notice a change either.

I’ve never driven a raptor without one. Compared to other trucks I’ve driven with an open diff and some form of simulated LSD, the times where I think I notice something is snow wheeling when I just want silly amounts of wheel spin. We get deep heavy snow where if you don’t spin the wheels fast the tread never clears.

This! I've owned a 23 and 24 both without the Torsen. In most situations you would never know and beyond that a true locker is better in every way. But to answer the OP's question, 25's most definitely no longer have the Torsen.

This is true. I think in certain off road situations you could in theory (regardless if it actually slows you down) get those front brakes pretty hot. I had enough trouble with my torsen and front end in general in my 2020 to just run most high speed stuff in 2Hi unless there is no chance of getting the wheels off the ground. I haven't noticed a difference in low speed 4LO situations, but none of them have been low traction (mud/snow/sand). The torsen would likely be better for crawling out of deep sand, Id hate to see how my rotors would look churning through sand and momentarily grabbing. One thing I wish the Raptor did better was give you any idea real time what that traction management system to replace the torsen is actually doing.

Not only that, but, the Torsen works when there’s some kind of electronic gremlin going on, the ‘simulated’ LSD... well, probably it will work.
But... I remember reading a post from another FRF who lost the rear e-locker and had one wheel turning. Jen Juan IIRC(?) but all of us have the e-locker...

I’d rather have the Torsen personally but again, I don’t think anyone here has proven the current setup is truly inferior, other than the normal bench racing that goes on here.

Thank you everyone! I had a 2020 with it, so I was surprised to see it not listed for the 2025. I'll see how it goes without it for a season before making any changes. I've got my BRaptor as well which is all locked up, so I doubt I'll "upgrade" the Raptor.
