What is the next step after that? Has it been offsite yet and already returned?
Mines just returned from it going offsite and is awaiting shipment. So for next steps, I’m assuming getting on a train to the destination and then on a truck to the dealership. Almost there! My ETA is still 2/2 and the dealership still feels confident on those dates.

That’s good news, sounds like graphics and bed liner didn’t cause a big delay at all.
Hold your horses. I spoke to my contact in logistics and they’re not shipping any 24 F150s till end of Feb now. Even though it says awaiting shipment, they won’t be shipping anytime soon. Ford still has to flush 23’s that haven’t sold yet throughout the country. This includes all trims of the F150’s. Even here in Detroit there’s tons of 23’s still on dealer lots. If you don’t care for the 24’s, you may be able to get a 23 for less than MSRP and great financing.

I’m not in the car business or anything, but if I was a dealer I rather have entire year to try to sell the 24 model year at MSRP than to hope someone will buy the leftovers that no one wanted to begin with for few thousands less.

I think most Raptor buyers know what they want, whether it’s a 23 or 24. As for the other trim models, I dont know if a mid cycle refresh is enough to hold out. I know I’ll wait for my 24 and will not consider a 23.

It would make sense to ship the special orders because they’re an easy sell/already sold, but what do I know

Right…. Why wouldn’t they have been pushing all of those 2023’s out to flush that toilet? If not moving on the lots, then offer the discounts and financing. Most dealer lots I’ve seen have lower inventory still. These automotive industry inventory strategies have gotten pretty bizarre. And obviously very flippant based on the confidence of the Dearborn guy that shipments were starting last Friday… now it slips an entire month because they realized there too many 2023’s…. Uh okay. lol.

It’s because dealerships were still charging stupid mark up on 23 models up to recently, obviously no will do that and just wait for the 24s and they wonder why they couldn’t flush the 23 models…
