One working theory is that dealers are telling customers they need to re-order a '23, thereby customer walks away from the '22 order. Then dealer sells the '22 when it comes in with a sweet ADM and then promises original customer a vapor ware '23.
Not sure if that theory is valid in all cases. Dealer called and converted my 22 order to a 23 and the order code remained the same on my DORA. So basically my 22 order no longer exists and is replaced with a 23 model. I may get a 23 or may not but the dealer will not get the 22 that was ordered under my name.

Please educate me…how did they “convert” it?

Does anyone have a sample of the avalanche? Mine changed over to a ‘23 also. Iconic silver but my dealer says I can change it.
Google’s not working for ya? Is the Gen 2 section of this forum down for maintenance? Asking for a friend.

Salesman asked me over the phone what options I want and I told him the same as the the 22 except Avalanche color. So basically he revised my existing 22 order to a 23 and changed the color and kept the order code the same and resubmitted to Ford. I got confirmation within minutes after he submitted the new revised order

So he placed a new order, got it. Thanks.

He said the order code is the same. It’s also the same for my change. Is that an entirely new order if it has the same order number?
It got resubmitted…did it not? It’s possible to maintain the same order number as that only differentiate your order from another customer’s order.

I’m not quite sure but I think it would be a brand new order if you get a new order code but if order code remains the same then you can call it a rollover I guess. This is too much for my little brain. I just want to buy a friggin 85k truck. God bless!

I assumed it was just like an order alteration (color, options, etc). They still submit and you get confirmation from Ford….at least I did with my last Raptor and Lightning.
