I think you guys are getting pretty bent out of shape around a few LEDs. Removing an actual feature - like heated seats or steering wheel - is not the same thing as removing an LED light ring.

The temperature display in the dials is pretty pointless, it's very small and in an inconvenient location. Displaying the temperature on the screen is better - it takes no extra space (there is a big empty bar there on my 2021 all the time anyway, showing just the clock), shows in a much bigger font, and is easier to see at a glance as opposed to peering at some tiny numbers at the bottom of the dashboard.
It's boiling the frog, they start with a few small things like LED lights in the cup holder, then something a little bigger, and eventually you can choose between 52 week delivery or 16 week delivery. But to get 16 week delivery you drop the heated steering wheel (or some other luxury feature) with no rebate or cash back. Because people want it NOW

I sure hope you're right. Even the 800a has a ridiculous amount of fluff. I'd love it if half of it went away. Sign me up. :D

I picked my Gen3 up in September. In the Pre Covid world I would’ve waited for a 22. I’m so happy I didn’t. Just got take what you can get when you can I guess. However, I would’ve been pi$$ed to get a 22 without the temperature display in the knobs. (Pi$$ed may be a bit of an exaggeration). My Durango has just about everything on the screen. The HVAC Controls all on the screen annoy me. I really like the fact that my Raptor has more knobs and especially like that the temp shows up where it does. Definitely don’t want more on the screen. Just my humble opinion. The Gen3’s a great truck no matter where the temp displays!!!!!!!!

I added it with forscan but need to see if it actually works. The My Modes would be a nice add but havent dug too far into that other than needing a new Left switch.

Maybe replace the steering wheel? Then turn on with forscan and sell your raptor wheel to an f150 owner. I hope that will work..

You are missing my whole point here. Seems like Ford owners have just come to expect this garbage and stick up for ford every step of the way. Don’t even get me started on the QA issues. I’m coming from Toyota, where quality always reigns supreme, but I’m willing to give up some reliability for interiors and off-road capability. It sucks we lose some of these ‘worthless’ options, but that doesn’t mean we should be ok with it. That’s my point. I’m sitting here looking at 21s with markup but I’ll probably just wait it out

Ahh yes, Toyota, with their quality frame rust and lackluster engines.

800A comes with more tech than needed, all the lane assist, adaptive cruise, 12 inch screen, electric pedal adjustment, leather, heated and vented front seats, same engine, same suspension, has LED headlights just not adaptive with the steering. Honestly in the Gen 3, for me the only thing missing I wanted on the 800A package was the heated steering wheel. Kinda sucks that heated steering wheel isnt included, but I got the 800A and added torsen and 360 camera/convenience package.

So to me the 800A with those options is a steal at $68.5K. I didnt want the decals, I am back and forth on the applique, replacing the wheels no matter what they came stock, would not buy a sun roof, not interested in carbon fiber inside. Now if they had carbon fiber on the hood and fender vents that would be worth a grand. The 12" screen alone is leaps and bounds above the old 8" and included on the 800A! 800A in this Gen is really way more than an 800A last gen. You can definately put 37's on a 35 truck if you want and still baja it. Check out EXO expeditionxoffroad, he definitely is and leads Baja excursions with a 21 800A with Icon wheels and 37s. With an RPG 1.5" collar no rubbing full compression and you keep an extra inch of travel vice stock 37" package. Not knocking a loaded 801A they are great as well just for me I got what I needed and don't feel inferior at all.

No hate for those that have to have all the options available and spend $85K I get it, just know the new 800A's are not lacking anymore and for me that's just more cash left towards mods for the truck or the Harley's..

It’s not just the F150’s. My 2021 Bronco order got pushed to a 2022 and it also looses all these same things. The temp on the two HVAC control knobs missing is my biggest complaint. Just looks cheap now.

Not that it is a Raptor, but mine in particular is over $60k. Seems like Ford should have kept it for the higher trims. Mine is a Badlands, luxury package with leather and the Sasquatch package.

They also never told us it was happening.

There are other things missing. Some trims like the WildTrack lost the painted door handles, painted mirror caps.

There are no longer chrome rings around the knobs for the HVAC and other controls for any Bronco trim. So check around, there might be other small things missing from the 2022 Raptor.

You are spot on!!!
Yeah I get it. It’s little stupid things and we shouldn’t be ********, but just tonight. Was driving my 2016 Toyota Sienna. It was dark AF and I was damn glad I had ambient lighting in my cup holder to set my drink in. And my 90k truck won’t have that? Cmon man!!
