that's likely because they didn't have an allocation. Base raptors don't seem to be the ones being held up due to chips
Sorry. To add to my above post - order was accepted in September, went into production 11/10 and current “produced but not released”. It has been in this status since end of November. TBD did update today to 1/28 but FB said nothing has changed…

I sold my 2019 raptor last week for a 2022 platinum I ordered in October. It was too good of an offer and figured I could be without a truck for a while. My dealer I ordered the 2022 with said they are not getting any build dates for king ranch and platinum models but if I wanted a xlt or lariat I’d have my truck within 60 days. However, FYI my dealer did let me know that all new order pricing is going up $880 for these trucks. Prior orders will not be affected.

Somebody please correct my ignorance, but I thought a dealer could place an order for whatever they wanted. Whether the order is scheduled by Ford is another story. My dealer placed a retail order for me last week for a 37 package and I got an email confirmation from Ford no problem. According to my dealer that is no guarantee that my order is in the clear though.
Confirmation Email means absolutely nothing…without an actual allocation your truck will never be built…regardless of the standard email you received. If you get an email with an actual production date and VIN, then you’re in!!

They do have 22 allocations

They have delivered 3 21 37PP already. Not sure why they wouldn’t have an allocation for 2022. Where 37 option is it states commodity constraint. Are we sure that means no allocation?
Just because they had allocations for 2021’s doesn’t mean they have them for 2022 yet. Ford is being way tighter on allocations this time around. Just because the dealer can take an order doesn’t mean they have an allocation.

There may be commodity constraints, but I got my 37 scheduled and a vin given after this post was created.

This is basically what they did with F250s. I ordered a 22 Tremor right after order banks opened up and got the truck in ~90 days. All the while there are 21s sitting in purgatory.

I still have no build date on my 21 that was just recently converted to a 2022. Been Unscheduled-Clean since Nov. Today was actually the first time I saw a Gen3 on the road. Guessing it was a 2021. So, they are slowly arriving I guess.

My order never made it through in June, but I did get my 22MY order in on Oct 10, with a VIN and original build date of 11/29, then a blend date of 12/6 and was built on Dec 9th, its been with the shipper for over 3 weeks, two different ETA weeks have passed, the last was 12/18-12/24 and now we are looking at the week of 1/7-1/13. Hoping the shipping delays are just due to being caught in the Holidays and that is not yet the next delay all of us have to deal with. I'm somewhat patient, don't need it, just want it since I have been in this limbo for ever, especially if you count my original Bronco reservation on July 23, 2020 which I eventually dropped and decided to go for the Raptor, simply because the price was too close to Raptor level and no where near the vehicle IMHO.
