I have been experiencing the IWE noises from the left front of my 22 for the past month or so. A low, intermittent hum/rubbing sound that goes away in 4A. Dealer replaced all the IWE electronics yesterday and the problem is gone. FYI it is covered under the 5yr/60k drivetrain warranty.

Congratulations to you. This is covered under the warranty if and only if you have a competent dealer tech that can diagnose the problem. Unfortunately for me, I do not and now I am past 60k miles. I do have extended warranty though.

Are any of you Gen3 guys experimenting with IWE deletes?

Worth noting the 2022+ navigator/expedition/f150 platinum have IWE deleted from the factory

I just scheduled an appointment to have my IWE's looked at again. I will see what happens this time. I also have a couple of other things for them to look at as well so shouldn't be a total waste of a trip if they can't hear the IWE noise.
Anybody replaced these outside of warranty? Curious what the cost would be if I just told them to replace them.

They are relatively cheap, not sure on the whole hub assembly but I remember someone saying it wasn’t that bad and an hour labor.

Finally got the dealer to hear the noise in my truck that I thought was an IWE issue. They got a stethoscope on it and determined it was actually a pinion bearing in the differential. Anybody had any issues with these on a Gen 3?
