No aftermarket tuner/company can ever come close to the value and quality that the OEMs put out with their own specialty performance vehicles.

That said, Roush is no joke. They have the tech to make whatever in house and do a lot of work for Ford. They could easily make a Raptor killer if they were so inclined, but I don't think Ford wants that. The relationship is tight between Ford and Roush. If Ford says "don't build a truck that beats our halo truck"- they won't.

Out test driving a 2021 Roush F150. It doesn't have the tacky "wide" body kit. The V8 10 speed transmission is nice. Sure it's just an appearance package, but it does look good. Not a Gen 3 Raptor, but it's on the lot for $76k. Might be a workaround.

N/A V8 or S/C? If it were S/C I can see that- but if not, no way. Just buy a regular XLT or Lariat and sell it when you find a Raptor.

When I was at the dealer yesterday they showed us what they said was a base roush pkg f150. It had something like 600hp 615ft/tq? Whipple s/c...I was DEFINITELY not impressed with the exterior tho. Next to the raptors, it just looked like it was a throwback to a body kit out of the 90's...blacked out mightve been a better color cheme than the silver with black stripes.. If I had an extra 100k to blow on top of the base 86k It costs i still would stick to the raptor
If it's an authentic ROUSH, no way in hell it will have a Whipple SC....ROUSH has their own lineup of blowers which are 100 times better than Whipples...

Typically, ROUSH trucks with powerplant upgrades include a blower on the 5.0L V8.

Just like the ROUSH Mustangs, there are different trim levels ranging from body/interior upgrades, body/interior-suspension-brake upgrades, and all the above plus blower.

I have a modified ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang making north of 700hp. They are awesome vehicles. But in regards to Mustangs, for the money and value retention, I would buy a GT500.

As far as trucks, I considered a ROUSH vs Raptor... but nothing beats the body and stance of a Raptor. Just wish the Raptor came with 500hp at the very least.... oh and Blue Cruise.

They also had a new 2020 Saleen XR. Had a lot of suspension work done. Supercharger gets installed after the vehicle sales.

In what way is a Roush S/C better then Whipple's offerings?

Roush S/Cs are simply rebranded Eaton TVS units that Roush designed an LIM and TB adapter for.

Eaton TVS superchargers are roots-style, they are true "blowers", while Whipples (and Kenne Belle) are twin screw superchargers.

If you squeeze the nuts of both, the TS is more efficient under boost, but not by much. They more you turn it up, the more the TS will pull away from the roots in terms of efficiency.

Sitting a traffic light though, the roots is more efficient because a twin screw always has the air being compressed through the screws, and that takes power and makes heat.

Bottom line, they are nearly the same with very little differences.

Also checked out a Tremor that was available for purchase. Didn't drive that one.

3.5 v6 10 speed < 5.0 v8 10 speed
