Yeah people can hate on the engine all they want but having That full torque Boost at 0 Rpm would be insanely awesome!

Hybrids don’t typically have full torque at 0 RPM. They have more torque, but the electric motors and batteries are a lot smaller than full EVs so your full torque will still be from the ICE.

Oh I meant the electric motors torque. That little boost at that low of rpm is going to be great!

I’m guessing same engine for 2021, or *maybe* a hybrid variant. I can’t see the GT500 v8 making it in and the truck staying under $90k...unless there will be multiple drivetrain options

i think the next raptor will have the power boost engine with a bigger turbos or same turbos with diffrent tune and after 2 or 3 years they will put the gt500 as an option

Just guessing..I’d say ford goes EB again as you stated but has the 5.2SC ready to go in case the TRX beings to over take the Raptor.

You know ford wants to stay EB it’s their baby...only see the 5.2 come into play if the TRX steals the spot light. So yes maybe 2-3 years depending on how the stage is set.

Sounds like a copy paste of the wishful thinking in 2017 lol

GT500 starts around 70k. to 80k with options, which is pretty nice. I dont see why raptor would cost 90k with 5.2 sc. I think ford has waited enough. may be one more year till we see gen 3. and trx is coming with a big finger to ecoboost raptors. Whoever comes first with sc v8, m buying the moment its out. raptor or trx... whichever comes first.

I think power boost has to be at least an option. It makes no sense for it to be available on lower trips, but not the Raptor. But I can see where many would not want power boost, and I could be wrong, but Raptor's have never had engine options before?
