Just going to cost blood, *****, house and first born....but damn if we don’t have a dope truck!

Exactly. Real men don't care what it costs. Anyone who can afford a $75k truck can afford $150k if they really want it. ;)

And what do you think the price of such truck would be? Over
100k ?

Who really knows what the Gen 3 will be about. I’m hoping they can be had for not much more than the current pricing. 90-100+k trucks are just getting limited to the select few at that point. Just upgraded technology and improvements would be nice.

I’m just fine with what I have now. It’s really plenty of truck.

it’s hilarious the cycle is repeating itself verbatim between generations. Like these are the same posts we saw last time around, I love it!

There's definitely a sweet spot. The pricing now pretty much hits that spot since there are plenty of other pickups in the Ford line that cost more. That makes it easy to justify in your mind. When it's the most expensive option? That gets harder.

My prediction, OK, wild ass guess, is that if they offer a V8 it will be an big extra cost option, with possibly a different badge. They still need to meet mileage figures, and making it standard would hurt the corporate cafe. Once again, an opinion, worth what you paid for it.

I would have to agree with this. Like a Super Raptor or Limited edition for 90-100k+

Why kill off your current sales and the customer base that can do 55-75k. They have managed to build a good base and now sell slot of Raptors vs a limited amount. The V8 truck could go back to that limited version and maybe be King again.

Good points about the mpg and emissions. I really do think we about at the pinnacle of V8 performance. Regulation will end up killing these high performance vehicles within a few years. It’s sad but most likely true.
