True but Ford isn't aiming the Raptor at people who want the capabilities without the tech, luxury, and flashy features. Most buyers want all of it.

I could be wrong, but if that were true, every 2020 Raptor on dealer lots would have had the recaro seats...and I don't think they did. To clarify, I completely agree regarding tech and features, but I'd argue that blue and orange styling isn't what every Raptor wants.

Regarding recaro, I almost get the feeling Ford signed a long term contract with them and they aren't moving that option as fast as planned. The solution was to throw it in with an option they know will be popular to make it profitable. Pure speculation, just guessing.

That's a reasonable theory and I agree the seats are a preference thing. I for one would want the Recaro seats but could do without the single-option color scheme.

Interesting pic of the flying TRX.....but the guy from YouTube with the TRX got his to fly, which looks similar to that height but the landing didn't go so well:boxed:. I mean its easy to show them jumping on a perfectly prep course with someone telling you the correct speed to approach the incline to look like a $500k trophy truck.

I was not a fan of the recaros when I bought my gen 2 and I am glad I was able to get a truck without them. I am still not digging the blue and orange combo.

The longevity of the Hellcat engine is not in question compared to the eco ****. The ZF 8 spad is stout, proven Bilsteins, steel body not Busch latte...:lol2:

Dude you are dying breed. Love for big fat thirsty, but slow engine is nothing but mystery to me. But you go girl, enjoy them while lasts.

Until they don't. I think they got away with it on the Gen2, especially early models because that's all the Stealership order trucks which were the only thing you could get early on. Customer ordered trucks were like hens teeth for most of 2017. All you could find for a while were full optioned 802A trucks with between 2000-3500 dolllars worth of add ons for graphics, moon roof, carbon fiber, accent package, etc.

Even so, you could score one for under 70k with patience. I don't see that being achievable with the new model. The 37 package itself is going to be pricey, but people in this same thread, complaining about the packaging, admit they're going to pay for the useless graphics. That's why.

You can bet you're getting a moon roof with that package, and probably their other optional graphics if you want one this MY.

I think the Raptor R should be a H.O. version of the 7.3 godzilla F250 motor.
THe Gen 1 had an F250 motor, why change ot a GT mustang motor?
They could tune it for N.A. 500HP and leave room for Shelby and Roush to offer supercharged versions.

The 7.3 is a low RPM HD truck motor, it was never designed for use in a high performance application. Not to mention it would get single digit MPGs.

Ford has zero incentive to design their products to be modified by Roush or Shelby; those are both 3rd party aftermarket companies and cause nothing but problems. Their modifications don’t meet OE engineering or durability standards, nor are they warranty compliant. They’ll slap a supercharger and their badges on any vehicle and sell it for a ridiculous premium.

The shocks have different valving/dampening to handle the larger size and weight of the 37s. 37s provide 1 more inch of ground clearance/height over 35s and subsequently, unless you really want to stuff them in the fender when landing from sick jumps, you’d probably prefer not ripping your fenders off and just keep the 1 inch less suspension travel front and rear.
I saw that now on the TFL video.

Too bad. Probably about the same cost to modify a 35” version as it will be to pay the up charge for the 37”.

Regardless , I’m probably trading my ‘19 in for a 801a 2021.

Not a fan? ;)
At least they’re not Toyotas.
