Not only is this an example of people willing and eager to pay ADM's but there's a thread here that a guy openly says he will pay ADM. The message being sent by these guys to the dealers is clear and MSRP will be a thing of the past because of this type of buyer. Completely suxs for the average person wanting a raptor!!!!!
In many instances it’s not just an issue of a ADM versus MSRP, it’s get a raptor or don’t get a raptor. I know that there are MSRP deals out there, but there are also circumstances where a customer ordered a truck with an agreement to pay sticker, and when the truck actually arrived the dealer switched it up on them. There are so few of these trucks available that if you want one, in many instances you are going to end up paying some kind of markup to get it. I don’t agree with it, it burns me that this has become the new normal, but I also know that if this truck is the one that you want, paying a markup might be the only way to realistically get your hands on one anytime soon.

there just aren’t enough allocations for 2022. Simple supply and demand curve and demand isn’t waning its getting stronger. Most of the MSRP deals and purchases were on MY21’s. The spreadsheet with the different dealers shows that.

call it greed, supply and demand, survival. whatever you want this isn't a debate. my brother in law is a sales manager at a dealer he said they've had to lay off sales people. A lot of these dealers have no choice but to sell for more money. they have no cars to sell and these salespeople don't get paid nearly enough without commission. they need commission. I just got mine and my salesman 5 times said thank you. He said he's getting half the deals he normally has so if it was for ADM the dealer couldn't keep their salespeople. obviously we can afford these raptors and probably more expensive vehicles. first world problems. think about some of these salesman and how much an extra 500 for a sale or 1000 for a sale in the course of a month. by no means to I trust or defend these stealerships cus they definitely deserve all the bad press they get.

Is it a little overboard I say Yes more like a lot. but

the facts are its nothing like most of us has ever seen in our lifetime and hopefully will never see again to this degree ever again. covid, politics, etc has the supply chains so messed up. lets just hope we are near the point where we can at least see some change for the better.

when it comes ADM. how many of you complained at all when you got 5k or more for your used cars. or paid under MSRP on your previous vehicles. I know I didnt complain at all.. sold one in November about 5k more than I could have got a year ago and traded in my 18' gen2. which I bought fir 5 k under sticker and sold for about 5 k more than I could have a year ago.

so yes I paid ADM and dont care because in the big picture math is math. 5k on one 5k on the other plus the 5k I saved. I am ahead by 15k. so now I could have paid 15k above and still have a wash. didn't need to, they wanted 10k. but I got them down to $5750 over. cus I said id finance thru them and bought some accessories.

thats my take. may be totally missing something but I will sleep fine tonight.

Try being from California. 2020 raptors had ADMs on them until they were sold out.

My buddy is a salesmen at Toyota and he says they have never made more money than during the Chinese Virus and they only sell at MSRP so sure….Everyone is going through hard times, big freaking deal, feeling sorry for places selling way over MSRP is quite hilarious and anyone who pays them is an idiot

whos feeling sorry for them. more power to them. I am in construction and its great for me. just pointing out pretty obvious things going on. and people love to complain about capitalism when it doesn't benefit them. we are all happy with being on the making more money or saving money side but when we are on the other side. its omg the worlds ending and we need to stop this. people need to grow up. cant have it both ways. there's always a winner and a loser sell a house today make a lot of money. buy a new one pay a lot more than before. its a wash. same as the vehicle market.

The people I feel sorry for are those who dont' have vehicles or houses to sell for a higher amount in order to get the extra money to pay the adm. or higher priced house.

Sad to see the socialist on this forum.
No one is making you buy a Raptor.
In case you missed the 9th grade, supply and demand rule the market place.
Why don't you sale your home or used car for what is was worth a year ago instead of taking advantage of folks.
The stupidity of the average American is repulsive. This country was built on competition, not socialism.
Get a life snowflake.

Yep. The guys I sold cars with back in the day are making more now than they ever have. Sell half as many cars in a month and you're making your previous paycheck. Have a good month when all your orders comes in and you might make 5k more than you would have before. Probably depends on location..
