I also went with the RYDONAIR 13” from Amazon.
I didn’t have the stock antenna on long enough to do a true comparison, but all my regular FM stations come in clean/clear and also HD.

Thanks for posting this picture! I was leary about getting the 13" after my 3" didn't get any stations. Glad to see that the 13" isn't too large but gets the job done!

When I head to ranch in country stubby won't pick up jack...FM or AM.

In city no issues.

The Gen3 is just a fiberglass stick. I cut mine and sealed the end.

I cut my factory antenna so it would clear my garage door but was still higher than the roof. I haven’t noticed any reception issues since making the modification.

13 inch Rydonair. Before I installed it I found a marginal FM station and was still able to receive it after the install with a slight loss of signal. AM signals are lost unless the AM signal is strong.
For optimum radio reception your best bet is to stick with OEM antenna. The antenna is basically tuned for the system.
