Im starting to think i've got these issues too. All summer long I had what I thought was a very smooth ride. Fast forward to a little before Thanksgiving and I feel every little road imperfection and the truck feels extra stiff. The front left shock also excessively stiff and some "thud" type noises during low speed travel over minor road imperfections.

@FordTechOne - is the best way to document this using ForScan and logging the oscilator/PID values for the shock heigh sensors/ voltage?

Yes, you would want to monitor the ride height sensor PID readings in the VDM.

So I was able to record the values from ForScan on the VDM module. Luckily I have Ford Performance engineering on my side of things. They were able to review the findings and didn't see anything too glaring for an issue but they did find that the output values were sending but slower than normal so the output driver on the VDM could be the failure point. The dealer is going to order a new VDM for my truck and got thru the install and recalibration process. I should have the truck back by mid next week to see if it resolved the issues.

Thanks - is there another parameter to watch for the shock solenoid being the culprit? I've noticed that things seem smoother above 40mph (same stretch of road) and that noise/thud from the front left is most prominent at low speed with the wheels turned. Say entering my concrete slab garage from gravel driveway (1.5" lip) or making a turn after stop with road imperfections. (sway bar end links / shock bolts? UCA/LCA?) - I'm well inside warranty but want to make sure if I'm going to the dealer I'm not getting the old "that's normal /could not replicate:

Raptor suspension woes continue...
Just had the dealer replace the VDM on my 2020 raptor. Thus far since owning it brand new it’s been in the dealer probably 10 times for the same complaint of a harsh and uncomfortable ride. I’ve had one height sensor replaced as it was intermittent faulty. I’ve had all four Live Valve shocks replaced by the dealer. They found 3 out of 4 were fully locked up in the solenoid. It rode ok for quite a while and then it went back to being terrible again. I’ve posted about this before the latest is my contacts at Ford performance were able to tell the dealer to replace my VDM as it could be an intermittent issue within the VDM. I have found after the replacement no change. If I unplug the VDM with the truck on and in park and then plug it back in the truck rides like a wonderful soft Cadillac, no jarring bumps on road or off road and the suspension is wonderful. Now I’m at a cross roads on what to do. The dealer can’t figure anything else out, Ford has suggested maybe to replace the under hood harness but without proper testing and proof the dealer won’t do that swap.
Might be time to consider it a lemon?
Ideas comments suggestions?

I’d suggest calling Ford Customer Care and requesting a field engineer come out and repair the truck. The system isn’t that complicated; clearly the dealer is missing something. Has pin fitment been checked at both module connectors? Has it been verified that sufficient power is available on both VDM power circuits? These are the things the engineer would be checking for.

I'm convinced I've got issues, there was a fleeting moment today that my truck rode like a Cadillac. I'm terrified that if I bring mine in for "harsh ride the dealer will tell me it's all "normal" . @FordTechOne has given great advice on how to log/what to watch for, but I'd be super interested to see any of the repair tickets for all the work and/or how the dealer made the diagnosis on those parts. Where I am, there are at least a few dozen raptors driving around from stock to Hennesy V8 badged so I have to imagine my local dealer has seen/worked on a few. Nonethelss, I'm afraid of my first mandatory service as I approach 10,000 miles. (I've already done 2 oil changes and a tire rotation).

Is there anyone that can post the information for how to test the solenoid voltages with FORSCAN? For those of us who aren't happy with the ride on the live valve systems, it would be nice to know this for a bit of a "prediagnosis" to gain a bit more information of maybe the cause of the issues.

This would also help when dealing with a service department as you can come in with a bit of information to help steer them a bit versus hoping they find something.

@FordTechOne if you could chime in here and say if knowing this would even be helpful for a local dealership or would it be creating more hypochondriacs for dealerships to deal with?

It's not bad, if you search the "harsh ride " thread, I've got a bunch of screen shots. I haven't driven with ForScan running, but I will soon!

In addition, there is some great info from @FordTechOne and others.
