I almost ordered my 2019 without applique. Glad I got it, now. I think it looks great and would look too plain without it. Keep it!
I hated the Gen 2 when they first came out. Swore I'd never get one. They grow on you - now I don't like the Gen 1 nearly as much - love the Gen 2!
You get used to the new stuff.
