i had mine at 42 psi, and just lowered to 39 psi today, night and day difference, but i also felt that it was a bit slower ... or might just be in my head i guess ill drop it to 38/34 see how that goes

Lowering the air 3 psi in the tires will, very slightly, increase rolling resistance. This could actually slow the vehicle a bit, but really I think the delta will be far less than you can actually feel. I think it is more of a mental thing. It is kind of like a sports car vs a luxury car at the same speed. The sports car, because of harsher rides and more feedback, generally feels faster at the same speed. I think the same thing happens with these trucks. 40+ psi in the tires and the ride is sharper, more firm, a bit more jarring. 38- psi in the tires and the ride mellows a bit, is less harsh.

I think the less firm ride of the lower inflation tires make the truck feel a bit less quick, but probably has almost no impact on real performance.

I do know that lowering the air did seem to reduce my MPG a bit, that would be the increased rolling resistance working against the truck.

that jarring was quite, fun but pretty sure the wife and baby didnt feel the same way

I installed Deavers and went +2 on the leaf pack. I was worried the extra spring weight was going to cause the back end to kick out but my truck handles perfectly.

I think the big block has to much leverage and you are experiencing axle roll under braking or hitting chatter bumps. The truck kicks when the axle rebounds after the axle roll.

I had Deavers on my Gen 1 Raptor ,so I had a set installed a couple days after picking up my new truck. Just looking at the block between the axle and springs made me cringe.

I am really happy I went up 500 pounds on my load capacity. I just took a run down the pacific coast of Baja with all our gear and coolers along with clothes and what not. The truck handled amazing.

Also I am running BFG KO'2 tire that are E rated so I get a true 35" tire. I am running 38 pounds in the front and 34 pounds in the rear.

Pure off road I run 28 pounds all the way around.

Talking about changing springs in a new Raptor is NUTS!

Check your tire pressure and lower the rear psi.

And if there is a problem, go to the dealership and have them look at it for free before you toss out perfectly good factory springs and spend a ton of coin on Deavers

I had the stock leafs for two years and recently put on Icon RXTs. I wish I would have done it before anything else. Much better on and off road.

The first thing I did to my Raptor was a set of Deavers (which replaced the factory 2" blocks) and SVC's Fox bump kit....BUT I can't say that is for everyone, dropping the rear tire pressure helped with the stock set up...

I don't think the bumpstop kit will do anything to help with a jittery back end, but they do make a great kit for normal bump stop purposes.

you are correct...the bump stop kit by its self doesn't help, but the replacement of the stock springs and block that almost all people do along with a bumpstop kit does!

Thoughts on the 2021 possibly having a rear coil spring suspension? if that is indeed the case, do you think it will help with this jumping issue out of the box?
