I realize it's my fault, no dispute there, but I need to grow up because I want a 90k truck to be fixed correctly, and I assure you it isn't free. Do you get free insurance? If so please tell me how you pull that off...

They are fixing it as good as new. Why are you upset? You're lucky that your policy covers anything that happens off road.

also, I pay more because it's 4x4 and due to its value.

You pay more because 4x4s cost more. Not so you can be stupid off road.

Im not some millionaire, this thing cost more than my first house

Same here, but if I couldn't afford to walk away from it, I wouldn't have bought it. It's a depreciating asset. Disposable. Consumable. It's a bag of Cheetos. Very tasty Cheetos. Not an investment.

Thought you guys were my friends...

I don't even know you. How could we be friends? We joined the same internet forum? Please.

Uh, when did I ever say I took it offroad? Of course if I said I did not, then I get a whole different rash of shit for being a mall crawler.

Can't win here, how many devils advocates do there need to be? And no we are not friends, its called a figure of speech, some people...

You literally posted a pic of the damage, with your truck..off road. It’s clearly off road in the dunes.

I might give you a ration of shit, but a rash? Never.

If we were friends, I'd tell you to stop being a crybaby and suck it up, Buttercup. But I'm being polite because I don't know you ...

It wasn't a waste, it was pretty entertaining.

Listen, I think he understands like we all do the responsibilities of owning these types of trucks. Most states minimum coverages are 10/20 grand that does not even cover the accessories most on here have on these trucks. I can not believe ford allows body shops to splice in different frame parts but they do. I don't blame you as no one on this forum would want the truck back as well but your options are limited and the cost of this is your responsibility,

The insurance company only has to go by state guidelines and will put up to 40 grand into your truck before they would total it. It is what it is

As long as it's a reputable body shop with the proper equipment, all they need to do (to the frame) is grind off the front frame welds and weld in the new section. From the factory, the front section is welded in. It's not like they need to cut the frame in half and weld it; the weld joint already exists.

I'm not saying I wouldn't feel the same way you do at this point, just trying to explain that if it's repaired properly per the factory procedure it should not be a concern.

This is really good info and sometimes it’s tough for us to understand that many things not the truck are going to wear out, break and need replacing. Ford designed this feature into the truck, so consider that there may be stigma on a full frame that has to be cut/welded, but Ford has a 3 pc. (?) frame here that is made to be serviceable. The same depreciation should not apply or would be of a lesser application.

LOLWUT?

Not even close to Question #3 - What first mods for @911 Crazy?, which set a new standard in snark, and raised the bar in good natured trolling.
;)

Im not some millionaire, this thing cost more than my first house, which my wife loves to remind me of. so, I get it from all angles, then here too...

It’s a vehicle. You used it, broke some stuff. Fix it and move on with life. You can sweat this problem and obsess over it, or you can do something else.

Thought you guys were my friends...

“Nobody wants a vehicle with frame damage. Lots of stigma, sh*tty cars driving down the road all sideways...“

Exactly, because of people like the OP.
And then he wants insurance to cover his ass and whines about it. Some nerve.
