I work at a Ford dealership and have been most intrigued by this. This configuration is not specific just to 2019 Raptors. I see this on 2018 XLTs as well (The triangle in front windshield with camera/sensor hidden behind). Some trucks have the triangle and some do not. I am still trying to figure out what it is for. So far it is not for adaptive cruise, as that sensor is in the front bumper area and that uses radar. In the past, the lane keeping system camera has been in the rvm housing. But I see this in trucks that do not have lane keep. Very weird, especially considering that my 2018 Raptor has the older configuration with the large plastic housing under the mirror, but some 2018 XLT trucks have a setup like your 2019 Raptors.

So far, all I have been able to confirm is that the triangle cutout at the top of the windshield on F-150 models, houses a sensor for the "automatic high beam" feature. This was an optional feature in 2018 (included in certain packages and trims) but is now standard in all 2019 models. I do not have any concrete info on why the change/ deletion of the plastic housing for 2019 Raptors though. I can confirm that the 2019 F-250 still has the plastic housing on some higher end models.

I believe the camera is for any combination of auto high beams, adaptive cruise and the lane minder feature. On the Raptor I think all 3 of those are bundled together with the technology package.

I have seen a vehicle on a lot that had lane minder but no cruise control, auto wipers or high beams, and it had the camera.

Yes, The camera will be there on any 2019 and will have auto high beams. I just can't figure out why / how they removed the plastic housing on Raptors and still have lane keeping. It is possible they consolidated the auto high beams and lane keeping into that one camera but I haven't been able to confirm it. Adaptive cruise doesn't use a camera, however. It's done using a radar system inside front bumper.

It could still be there, just without the unnecessarily huge plastic enclosure. Expeditions/Explorers have been using the smaller enclosures. You can see the clear front facing 'window' on the 2019 below.

And there's another window just to left of the triangle that has something, as well. Camera / sensor, which could be for the lane keeping system. I haven't seen that other circular window next to a triangle yet. They've just condensed the sensors and gotten rid of the bulky box. Much better.
And Blusmbl, thank you. I didn't realize that and certainly should know it ;)

I have 2019 802A with tech package. Have: auto high beams, adaptive cruise and the lane minder feature. Do not have the big plastic thing behind the RVM.
