in missouri...my dealer stocks 10-15 raptors at any time, and usually has them $5-7k off sticker.

You can always head up to Oregon, dealers here are selling now for $5k under MSRP, and there is no sales or transaction state tax.

If you live in a state that collects sales tax, you'll pay sales tax regardless. I have purchased a vehicle from Oregon though—got a great price on it, and we still have it.

Unless that state does not have a reciprocal agreement with your state. Just bought an Escalade in Illinois and they did not collect Maine sales tax for this reason.

Right. If you do that from Nevada, you're going to pay sales tax in Nevada when you register the vehicle. Every state has their own rules.

Correct. Then when you register in your state they apply that amount paid towards what your state charges.

I am also in SoCal (unfortunately) and the dealers here that I’ve spoken with won’t go under MSRP (Galpin went to MSRP first). I’ll be buying out of state for sure. According to Ford engineers I spoke with, every Raptor is CA and Federal emissions compliant And they all have the sticker under the hood that says so, but only ones destined for states adhering to CA emissions have it on the window sticker as well. I called the DMV headquarters in Sacramento and they said “we don’t care about the window sticker, just the sticker under the hood.” So when you take it to get played at the DMV, they’ll “inspect” it, meaning they check for working lights and blinkers and then look at the sticker under the hood.

I’ve had good talks with Larry H Miller Ford, Peoria Ford, and a few in Texas. Arizona seems to sell a lot of cars to CA residents so they were familiar with the process. My issue is I won’t pay taxes in CA, since I’m moving to Texas soon anyway. So once I have a Texas address (and license), I’m buying the Raptor before my move.

Hmm.. That's an invoice price on 800a package. Same price as you'd pay for new 2020 Raptor 800a.
