I don’t mind the keypad. There’s nothing subtle about the truck and there are enough non continuous surfaces, body lines, bulges and trim pieces that a few buttons doesn’t ruin the look for me. I like having the option of not having a phone or keys to grab something out of the car.

Though that does pose a question for me, somewhat unrelated: Does anyone know if you can control the windows from Ford Pass? I can't count the number of times I've had the windows cracked in the summer, and had to run out to my truck to close them due to some incoming storms.

Not with Ford Pass but you can use Forscan and set it up to where you can roll the windows up or down from your key fob. Obviously you have to be within range of your fob.

in the days of everyone having a smart phone, why not just remove the buttons all together and just have it on an app?

The reason they put the big key pad is they assume many truck drivers wear gloves and need big easy to operate buttons. Otherwise, they'd install the electronic keypad like most Fords have.
