Welp... my build week got pushed back from nov 7 to nov 23 today. Maybe due to forged wheels, blue interior pkg and carbon fiber?

Estimated date of delivery to CA dec 23.

We go off road a lot. We will use the Raptor mostly on seasonal roads and mild off road. I have a very capable Jeep that I keep in Moab for serious off road. I am used to a Jeep with a much smaller wheelbase. Maneuvering around obstacles is easier as you shorten the wheelbase. Climbing things gets easier with a longer wheelbase. Comfort gets better with a longer wheelbase. So while I wish the Raptor had a slightly shorter wheelbase, the Scab is the best for me. Also do not need more room in the back seat, and the way my garage is set up I don't have the length. I do wish the departure angle was better, but I probably will look at a new rear bumper and cut off the exhaust. This Raptor will spend about 25% of its time off the pavement.

Thanks for the reply...I've got 3 boys...so no go for me!

Anytime anyone has a delay, they immediately ask if it is a commodity shortage issue. I am willing to bet Ford is way ahead of the game or at least I hope they are. In that, Ford is looking at commodities before picking out your order from the order bank. Why would they pick your order with blue interior knowing they can't build build it because they don't have any blue interiors?

I think if there is a delay then there must be more to it. And we (customers) will never know the reason why it was delayed.

That may be true but the assembly line isn’t stopping and trucks are still going in production based on what people are posting here. Only plausible explanation is supply shortage related to one of my options.. likely culprits are the wheels and/or recaro blue pkg as others have experienced

802a
Pano roof
Tailgate step
Blue interior package with CF
Rear heated seats
Spray in bed liner
Tech package
Beadlock capable wheels

I'm willing to bet "ok to buy" factors into it. Doesn't make sense to keep building out new orders if they have to go back and tend to the first batches of trucks coming off the line.

Some early G2 builds in Oct '16 literally waited months for repair/delivery...Ramp 59

If your build includes spray in bedliner and/or graphics, truck gets shipped to a vendor then gets shipped back to Ford. Takes 1 week extra to perform according to Ford Perf
