2019 Raptor Intel

Released from plant on 3/16 eta was 4/19
Awaiting shipment from 3/16 till 4/22
Shipment assigned on 4/22 and eta is empty

NO further updates till now, dealer reached the Ford Rep and apparently there are a batch of Raptors stuck there and thats all they are getting as well as me from the Ford performance chat folks.

What is going on?

I guess I will make my intro here...I was hoping to make my intro in the New Member Checkin section with some pictures from deliver day. On 3/27/19 I purchased a dealer ordered Super Crew that is optioned exactly how I would have ordered one. It came in roughly $5k under MSRP. The dealership had and showed me an ETA of 3/22/19 and I pulled the trigger assuming the truck would arrive any day. I am still waiting with no news. My salesman is good about keeping in contact up to let me know that they do not have any updates. I tried to initiate a chat with Ford Performance last week, and the chat was closed with no reply. The dealership has their regional rep involved, but it doesn't seem like there is anything anyone can do. The wait is difficult and frustrating, but I do know it will be worth it in the end.

Here is the fun part. I already have the paperwork and title from Ford dated 3/27/19. Now I have just over a week remaining in my state to complete the registration before late registration fees and penalties kick in. I am not jazzed about registering a truck that I haven't seen yet and is in someone else's care between now and delivery, but it is what it is. Hopefully our trucks start moving soon.

was rail used to be delivered to your dealer or trucking?
what is the usual time from Dearborn to CA?

u got a killer deal under MSRP for sure.
but you are paying for a car you do not possess yet? was not aware thats allowed from dealers

I paid for the truck. I wasn't strong armed into doing so, and in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have. That said, it is still the truck I want and would have waited for anyway. When I had initially called on it, someone else was already holding it with a deposit. My salesman offered to work with me on two other Raptors they have, but I wanted Magnetic. He spoke with his customer holding this truck, and that guy was on the fence between Magnetic and Velocity Blue. The other guy decided to let it go to order a Velocity Blue, so I pounced and wanted to ensure everything was locked down. But to circle back, I worked out a trade and the paid the difference in full. If I have to look for a silver lining, I am putting the miles between then and now on my trade-in, and I do have a Raptor that is coming...some day.
