Just chatted with Ford Performance to see if my 2019 has left Dearborn yet as it was produced last wed and this was their response:

Ray says:
My name is Ray, it is produced but I do not have an update as to when it has shipped yet. They have to build a certain number for quality assurances before they can ship. Once they get the "ok to buy" they will ship out.
Ray says:
The current ETA in the system is November 5-11.
I say:
interesting. So the "ok to buy" has not happen yet?
Ray says:
It has not happened yet.
Ray says:
I expect it should be very soon.
I say:
understood. Thank you! Have a great day sir.

Just called ford performance. My 19 is produced officially. No eta to dealer. But they said usually they get a bunch of 19’s since it’s the first model for the year, they do quality control then release them for shipment.

And they aren’t aware of any material delays like the early 2017’s had

Any future 2019 Raptor owners have multiple deposits with different dealerships?

If so, at what point in the process is the order "locked" AND the deposit not refundable?

I have one order with a dealership but they have not been given an allocation yet from Ford.

The other dealership has an open allocation so in the process of placing an order and giving a deposit.

Much thanks!!

What I've been told is that once you receive a DORA, you have 1-2 weeks to make changes. But when a VIN is produced the order is locked in and cannot be changed.

As for your deposit, I believe that is dealer specific. I placed a deposit on a Raptor all the way back on January 4th this year, targeting a 2019. My dealer said the deposit was refundable as long as no order was placed. If an order was placed and not fulfilled, the deposit could be transferred to another vehicle. If the deposit was placed, the order fulfilled, but delivery was not taken, it would depend on the order whether they would transfer the deposit to another vehicle.

I would call dealer 1 and inquire about getting your deposit back before submitting a second deposit with dealer 2.

FYI .. Steve will NOT require a deposit.
