Just bought it new. Within a day it felt like the transmission was slipping merging onto highway, then banging/hard shift, finally heard metallic problem from the rear and took it straight in hopeful I could make it. No lights flashing or notes. Shit happens with new vehicles sometimes so not too worried. Called today about misfires and exhaust replacement. Any info on this? I get really nervous if I have problems in multiple areas.

any info appreciated. Will take time to get my next post in the right thread. Still need to read rules and learn.

I'd work with them to get a new vehicle ordered. Totally unacceptable.

really?

There is a known TSB for misfires and exhaust replacement on the new trucks.

As for the "metallic" sound, It honestly could be anything. Let the dealer put the work in. The Torque management system will pull power if it detects a misfire and odd sound might pop up.

Hell, why not take it all the way and demand that they just close the service department, cancel the warranty and just give you a new truck whenever anything breaks?

OP, Shit happens, I hope you get your truck back sooner than later.

Ok day 11 counting the weekend. Still not back. The issue does seem to be around the TSB. New exhaust system ordered last Monday. The metallic sound is supposedly from the exhaust defect which is causing misfires. Replacing the exhaust should fix the entire issue. Shit happens, sometimes it’s to your brand new $70k truck. In my book they get at least one chance to fix or make major headway. Here is the rub, FORD apparently doesn’t give enough of a shit to expedite to a new customer on a new truck. I could have driven to Detroit and back at least 3 times, safely with plenty of sleep, and brought back my own exhaust. Wait...I don’t have a car.

Call the ford 800 number and open a customer care case, that should light a fire under the dealer.

I think it’s on Detroit not the dealer. Dealer ordered last Monday, day one. Wasn’t shipped until Wednesday. Dealer tracking now due tomorrow. Dealer did give me a loaner F-150 and has a great history with me but regardless of fault, I will give it until tomorrow. If it’s there over the weekend and closes 14 days, I am going to be up everyone’s ass. Think that’s about 50% of the distance to a Lemon in TN. Which btw I don’t think it is in any way, but damn. They put me in that bad ass beast for three days then told me to pull out. I got serious blue balls.
