Really enjoyed the trip. We stayed in town at an air bb. Much better than the hotel by the track

Can't believe the great time we had June 5th. A few changes were recently implemented. They now use 2019 Raptors which match my own year so you get trail control experience and get to see how the new suspension works to the extreme. They...also...added....freaking JUMPS to the course!!! That's right we got to jump out Raptors as part of the course. I can't suggest this course enough. Here's a few pics:

Ok, was that a sanctioned jump or did you just go rogue? friggin awesome. Now thinking of bringing my own helmet in late August when I go.

Just showed my wife. She said, “Am I in the truck with you?” I said “Unfortunately not.” She replied “Well, thank god, my back would never be the same.”

I know you share driving time with another participant. Do you both get to do each thing?

I was also in 06/05 class. Sanctioned jump....Yes....1st run @ 30mph & 2nd run @ 35mph! All skills sections, including the jump, both drivers get equal drive time.

Ford Performance Racing School (FPRS) is in the process of moving the road & off road schools to new facilities. Road courses may go out to the East coast. Last Monday 06/03 was the first day at the new off road facility. The new location is just a few miles down the road from the old Utah Motorsports (UM) facility location. Currently the reception, classroom sessions, & driving start/end at the UM facility, but they will eventually move all off road operations to the new location.

The new location has all the old exercises like: tilt angle, steep climb/descent, short driving mode comparison loop. But also adds the jump & a short 2-3 mile "Moto" loop with banked turn & woops. They limit you to 40mph but it does give you the chance to really throw the truck into the turns pretty hard. I had to laugh cause the instructors know when your speeding as well...we got up to 43mph & they told us on the radio to slow it down.

The high speed open desert section is gone in lieu of the new closed course section. I get that!! So we were respectful of all the instructors requests, because it relates to safety for the participats & the program. Raptor Assault is the ONLY manufacturer sponsored program that allows participants to drive on public roads & public lands. I'm still impressed & thankful for the millions Ford has invested in all the FPRS programs. 830e017cd5a4f948f9f414f109b22863.jpga08f0e668b5edcbd93e3b07aa5831b7c.jpg026d51e98fcb78a7004afb8ce0e22999.jpg4bf4d98e91ee7b2ecf47279be0c67e41.jpg

That's awesome, they totally pussified the course when I went. Still fun, but no where near as fun as it could/should have been.
