Im a bit surprised that 35 mph is fast enough to go airborne. I’ll have to try it in NYC. ;-)

Ok, was that a sanctioned jump or did you just go rogue? friggin awesome. Now thinking of bringing my own helmet in late August when I go.

Just showed my wife. She said, “Am I in the truck with you?” I said “Unfortunately not.” She replied “Well, thank god, my back would never be the same.”

I know you share driving time with another participant. Do you both get to do each thing?

It was sanctioned...part of the class. They teach you how to do it. The landing was actually quite smooth.
You get to jump twice. Once at 30mph then at 35.

The high speed open desert section is gone in lieu of the new closed course section. I get that!! So we were respectful of all the instructors requests, because it relates to safety for the participats & the program.

Was just there may13th 2019.

Thanks. you answered my question. I wondered what they removed in order to add the jumps.

For what it's worth.....the high speed "Baja" run was at the very end of our day, and it was the least fun part of the day. 2 quick runs at 40mph max is not a "Baja" run. And they were all over you if you went faster then 40mph.

Seems like a good trade. A small stadium course is just what they need.
