2019- No 10th gear at times

I have a 2019 with 1000k on her. I have been having this issue at times in the morning. On my drive to work, the dash will only show I have 9 gears. The truck will warm up and I will be on the highway for 15-20 minutes and it will only stay in 9th and not shift into 10. The 10 doesn't show up all morning, if I turn it off and back on, it will then usually show I have 10 gears. I would like that 10th gear in the morning especially on the highway.. Does any one else have this issue?

Are you hitting the +/- on the shifter or the paddle shifters at all?

I have tried the paddle but not the +/- on shifter. Ill give that a try next time.

Either one should work. Sounds like you locked out 10th.

when in normal automatic mode......and you hit the + / - on ether the gear shift or the paddle.....you are not shifting gears.....you are locking out the max number of gears the transmission. the numbers in the stack will disappear each time you hit the - button. and reappear as you hit the + button.

You cant make it shift on your own unless you put the gear selector in M

This happens to all of us at times. All you need to do is fat thumb the shifter while you put the truck in drive. Easy to do.
