Newbie here, first post.
I purchased a new 2019 Ruby Red 802A a few months ago. After the break in period, we took it for its first trail drive to get familiar with our new toy. Being its first off road trip, I knew to take it easy and treat it more as a systems test/shakedown/ get to know her/first date kind of thing!
Im not good at posting pics yet, so bare with me.
When I put her under full articulation at slow/crawl speed, and the L/R tucked up into the rear fender well, I wanted to get out and see for myself the beauty of the 14" of wheel travel. What I noticed was interesting. The L/R tire was rubbing the paint off the forward part of the inner fender, forward of the tire. Also, the tire was just barely rubbing the plastic outer fender/bedside fender flare. Both rubs were just slight, but none the less, it has rubbed enough to wear thru the paint and zinc chromate primer. I always air down when off road, and since this was the first trip, I was experimenting with off road air pressures. I was at approx. 26lbs. Lastly, it looks like the axle wrap is the culprit here. I noticed the L/R tire was forward in the wheel well with zero room between the fender flare and about 3" give or take from the rear tire to the rear of the fender flare.
I turned around to attempt to see if the same was true with the R/R, and nothing rubbing under full articulation.
Anyone experienced this? It doesn't look like too big of a deal, but I was a bit surprised I had any rubbing at all. Post trip, she drives straight, seems square and all systems appear normal.
Thanks in advance

Remember 14" of wheel travel is straight up and down. When you get it cocked to the side it will rub a little. My 18 does also. Rubbed the paint off a little and keeps it clean :)

I’m glad I got in on the KJC torque arm buy. Probably won’t get this problem with the torque arm installed.

Yeah, the rear rubs at full tuck. I was surprised too, but it's just plastic. When you hear that flap, flap, flap, you know you're having fun.

That is normal with the articulation I have that happen all the time when I take it to hungry valley but I coated my wheel wells in undercoating myself and touch it up after those kinds of trips.

If I installed rear wheel well liners would those get rubbed off at full articulation or is there room?
