Sorry I didn't mean to suggest that the different settings were not noticeable, they are for sure. What I meant was that after I found my ideal setting, I rarely, if ever changed it.

The way I read the press material, the truck makes the changes for us on the fly, for example knowing when the truck is airborne and stiffening for the hevy landing or firming up around corners on the street to reduce body roll.

All you 17-18 guys are in total denial- the '19 shocks are going to be substantially better. I would also argue that VERY few people upgrade to larger aftermarket stuff.

It's OK guys- I'm used to owning a pov-spec Raptor now, you'll get used to it soon too.

You could go drop another $85K to have the latest and greatest again and be "that guy" again for a few more years. It's not so bad though, your trucks at least look like the newer, mo better models.

But I only dropped $65K and that included Taxes (No trade in). So can I upgrade sooner than the 17 years I was planning on?

Haha I love the poverty spec raptor comment, so good. Things that are the latest and greatest eventually get surpassed. Just enjoy the show! If the shocks end up being that good then they will work there way to the aftermarket and will be on everything within a few years.

Im not in denial. I see what it is and I am just pissed!

When I bought my Raptor back in 2016, I NEVER expected Ford to actually make any changes as the models years went on. I think its total b.s that they did that to us. I thought that most auto makers make a model and then do not touch a thing for 7-9 years until they re-do it.

I'm especially pissed that nobody else can ever get my avalanche color which makes me feel like a ******* because nobody must have like it if they got rid of it.
Also, I really would have wanted those recaro seats. It sounds like they are really comfy and wear super well over time.
But most of all, I can't believe I have to live with shocks that will NOT automatically adjust to a stiffer setting when my truck is airborne!

Ive never actually had my truck airborne, but what if that day comes???? The embarassment for me would be too much to take. Just knowing that the landing could have been a little more comfortable is too much to handle.

I think I will have to just plunk down the extra $20k and bite the bullet on an upgrade.

Don’t worry. Your Raptor doesn’t make enough power to get air born with that shit fuel you use.

Not in denial at all. The new spec looks nice and I can easily afford to upgrade if I want. Will test drive first.
