Thanks to everyone for the advice. I posted this precisely because I know electronic issues can be the devil. Going to pass on this one.

All the best,
Brian

Based on the dealer's warranty comments, this truck is the poster child of poor dealership service and an inexperienced/un-trained technician. They threw parts at it each time to make it go away, and - big surprise - the root cause was never resolved and the issue returned multiple times.

I guarantee that the issue is not un-fixable, nor does it have "gremlins". It's simply a matter of a qualified technician taking the time to accurately diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, with the flat rate system, that often amounts to a quick road test and an NPF (No Problem Found) or unjustified component replacement. That is especially evident by the BCM replacement. More than likely, the issue this vehicle is experiencing is the result of a simple wire chafe or an intermittent module fault. Duplicating the issue and performing a network test while monitoring CAN bus voltages would likely reveal the issue and allow for it to be repaired easily.

That being said, with the issue not being identified and resolved, it will most likely return again. Not something most buyers are going to want to deal with.
