GEN 2 2019 excessive oil consumption

2018 here that has oil consumption and cam phaser issues. Document everything.

Mine is at ford at the moment with same issues. Got some briefing pinging then lost oil pressure and went into limp. Truck has less than 5000 miles. They also say they are replacing the valve covers and that nothing else is wrong with it. I’ll post any updates when I get them.

Just what the dealer did, didn’t really have a say in the matter.

Definitely did not fix the issue.

I just got my 2017 SCAB (34k miles) out of the shop after the valve cover replacements. When new I was using about 1/2 quart every 5000 miles. Recent it got up to 1 quart after 3200 miles. I took it in and they did the valve cover replacement. Now I'm monitoring to see how the oil consumption turns out. I also had the oil pan leaks and that was another ordeal.

I have a 2019 purchased new in April. I switched over to full synthetic...motorcraft filter and oil from dealer.....and haven't seen a single drop of oil missing.
I check it several times per week and currently only have 2500 on the truck. So far so good. I also followed the break in suggestion in the owners manual precisely. I haven't gotten crazy in the truck yet although I'm going to Sand Lake in Oregon this weekend.

I have the same problem, mine is a 2019 that was purchased in August brand new. At 4k miles it started losing power and had used almost 3.5 quarts, took it in, the dealer did the valve cover change. Then at 6k miles, checked it and it was down 2 quarts. Took it back, the dealer topped it off and started an oil consumption test every 500 miles. Now I am just monitoring the oil level.
