2019 bank order?

I have a Raptor itch, but I cant find a Raptor with the exact options I want. So to me it is worth to order a Raptor so i can get exactly what i want. Since the order bank is later this year compared to previous years. Do you think it is worth to order a 2019 or wait for a 2020?

If the 2019 will not have a different look compared to the 2017-2018, then most luckily the 2020 trucks will be different. It seems like Ford does a Gen of a F-150 for 5-6 Model Years.

Just not sure what to do here, granted if i wait for 2020 MY, i can save up more $$$

They used the same thing for 5 years in the Gen 1 raptor. I wouldn't expect much for change in the 2020 raptor either. If they follow the Gen 1 type then it'll be the same through 2021 at the minimum. With special editions vehicles it's unlikely much will change unless there's clearly problems with sales from some aspect of it, and that's not the case with this one.

2019 isn’t even available to order yet and you’re asking if you should 2020?

Why stop there? When 2020 rolls around you’re going to ask if you should wait until next gen since the current one is already 4 years old. When next gen comes out you’ll ask if you should wait another year to avoid first model year headaches.

The gt350 ran for 4 years with 2015 and 2018 production very limited. The focus rs ran for 3 years. The ford gt is set for 4 years. The previous raptor ran for 5 years.

The hybrid f150 is due for 2020 and the next generation f150 is due in 2020-2021. When the next generation f150 comes, the raptor probably won't come for a year or 2 later or at best late availability the first model year like the gt350 was.

That was exactly my situation, ended up special ordering one with my exact specs on November 1st. Just took delivery last week.

I really do not think the 2019 will have a different look than the 18. If you really want it why not just order it now, especially knowing that it takes 4 to 5 months to receive a special order. I went crazy waiting!

Clues about the 2019 Raptor can be seen in the 2018 F150. The 2018 F150 received a wifi hotspot and I bet the 2019 Raptor will get the same update.

The 2018 F150 also got new headlights. Perhaps the 2019 Raptor will get new headlights?

The 2019 F150 (includes Raptor) build sheet should be out by May.

The 2018 F150 also got new headlights. Perhaps the 2019 Raptor will get new headlights?

I'm up in the air on this one. I expected that the headlights would change after the first year, but the 2019 Mustang GT500 concept still has the same headlights as the 2015-17 body style, so perhaps the Ford Performance line not changing with the mid-cycle chassis refresh is the new normal for Ford. Time will tell.

Order one. Do it now. Get what you want. They will likely just stamp F150 and FORD on a few more places on the truck for 2020

Talked to my ford rep today still no exact date on when 2019 order bank will open or when they will start building them. Will continue to update as I have more info
