I did a 3.2 to 3.4 without firmware update back in December 2019, and I haven’t had any issue. Been thinking about doing firmware since the paid Forscan version now supports it, but I don’t want to rock the boat.um...ok. wasn't having a go at you at all. Not sure why you think I think you are embellishing.
Did you do the 3.4 from the system upgrade or from the USB trick that was circulated around for awhile.
One thing you can try if youre still having the issue is to do a reinstall of the sync software but also do a firmware upgrade if it's compatible.
If the upgrade is done from 3.2 to 3.4 or from 3.2 to 3.3 to 3.4 without upgrading the firmware, you would see the issues you are describing.
It's dependent on your MY. They vary Let me look for that info and post itAnyone know the part number of the Sync 3 APIM Module? Trying to look up a number of part numbers I found on the Ford website and none of them are registering.

Oh and I’m on 3.4.20136. I just noticed that 3.4.20196 was just freshly released probably within days so I might do that update too. What version of sync are you on? There has been a recent update that was pushed that would conflict with the older firmware. If your truck connected to your home wifi and set to use auto update? If it is, it may have received the newer software than what you had in Dec.
