I will just keep waiting and have one built for invoice as those days are coming just like they did on the Gen 1. If a dealer has one close to what I want for invoice will pay that and if not will order the way I want and wait for them to build it. Just takes time. I have seen so many Gen 2 raptors in my area since they hit the lots. Far more then the Gen 1 since 2010.
Great trucks just not a big market for 70k f150's and think cars.com is showing some 600 2017's and 1200 2018's listed. That's some good inventory and they are still being built and coming to dealers all over.
Almost every one of those 1800 Raptor listed on Cars.com has an unreasonable ADM and is not a good benchmark for Raptor demand. Fairly priced trucks move quick and most dealers that sell at MSRP have 6+ month waitlists. If a dealer cannot sell a Raptor at MSRP, he's not very good at his job. Maybe it will get harder to sell a Raptor at MSRP late next year, but that point is still a ways off.
While you will definitely save money by waiting, two years of price increases will eat a big chunk of those savings.
As for your $70k truck comment, most 2017 Raptors sold for more than $80k!
