Hi guys,
I recently purchased a used 2018 Raptor (25k miles). I noticed a clicking noise when idle and sometimes driving. Here is the video I recorded:
Is this something I should be worried about? I brought it in to Ford and they said it is a normal sound. They ran all the tests and said everything came back fine.
I've had an issue where the truck took 5-10 seconds to start up and that clicking noise seems louder. They told me it was a bad battery and replaced it for me. The truck sat at home for a full day, and when I turned it on, it took about 5 seconds (revving) to start. In most cases, the truck starts up fine and the clicking noise is very minimal (although I can hear it).
I don't always hear the clicking, and I think it may have something to do with the way it starts up? Has anyone had issues like this with their trucks?
