Taking a Raptor is one thing, thats why we have insurance..but Mans Best Friend....string the Bas&#(@ up..!!
Sure hope you at least get your buddy back...I know the feeling....but if you dont, maybe next dog needs to be a Fire Breathing Dobie...mine use to ride shotgun with me in my Corvette, and I could leave that car any place and not worry...
Whats the Plate #?

The ****** part here is that dog ... I hate how it looks at the guy and just goes along. Guy probably just kicked the dog out somewhere. ******* hate people.

All that being said, why was the truck left running and unlocked while the owner walked away from it? I guess they must have disabled the truck automatically locking itself when the fob gets out of range or maybe they just left the fob in the truck too?

People are ****** but you're not doing yourself any favors (1) walking away from the pump unattended, (2) walking away from a running vehicle in a public place, and (3) walking away from an unlocked car with your animal in it in a public place. I really hope they get their dog back but
Okay... as both a dog and Raptor lover.. totally sucks... looks like the OP is not the owner, but thanks for sharing..

also... thanks to Obscure as I learned something new from this... I couldn't figure out how to lock my truck with it running and my dog inside.. with Gen2's I guess you hit the bottom two keypad buttons?? I just tried on my Gen 1 and I can hit my two highest keypad buttons "7-8" and "9-0" simultaneously and I can lock my doors with the key inside.. AWESOME... thanks for sharing.

With a Gen 2, the truck automatically locks if you walk away from it while it's running. I hate that this happened but this guy not only walked away from his running car but he walked away from it while he left the fob inside (or he disabled the automatic lock ...)

I don't get the scenario where it makes sense to leave the key fob in the truck? Is it a scenario where you don't have any pockets and can't secure the key while not in the vehicle? is that it? I think I still would rather key the hidden a bag or something near by rather than in truck.

And yes, the key pad code can be cracked and they can then take your vehicle without any damage. Not a Raptor, but this happened to my nephew a couple weeks back, and he left the key in the vehicle. The bad news is that he actually was in the process of moving at the time and had everything he owned, including wallet in the truck. The good news was that the truck and just about everything in it was recovered. He was very lucky.

Jeez, Black Diamond, WA used to be a safe rural town. I guess the punks have made it all the way out there from Seattle now!

I'm glad the Cops shot his MFing @ss!
