NO PLACE is safe anymore,I moved from NYC area to town of 500 in WA. and we have had several murders! Last one guy tried to skip on a couple dollars of gas...serious,a couple dollars, and the lady ran in front of his car to stop him and he drove over her..!! Not wise on her part, but shit happens anywhere,at anytime now a days...I never even had house keys...now I got locks, double locks, padlocks,ADT,and an AR in every room..LOL!!

Thats why packing heat is #1 driving in a Raptor. Protect the family (dogs are part of that) and save the taxpayers money. Did I also say offer free dirt naps?

A relatively positive outcome overall - with an important lesson learned (hopefully) for the truck/dog owner RE leaving your vehicle unattended/running/etc. How that habitual offender/career criminal wasn't still locked up is a mystery but at least he won't keep getting free passes from here on out. As they say, cancel Christmas ! =)

The truck shouldn't be running while fueling up anyway, it's against the law and it's not good for the vehicle.
Hope the dog is okay.

How is it “not good for the vehicle”??

Looked like lots of bullets from the News...Passenger Window shot out...and the A-Hole used it to ram the cops,so sure its got lots of damage and going to be held for month as evidence ..... Hope Insurance will just buy him a new one..!!!!

Hopefully, unless they try to deny the claim altogether since he left it running with the key inside, and they say he’s at fault due to his negligence.

Well, not good is maybe the wrong word but on the Gen 1s leaving the engine running while fueling up has thrown codes related the the EVAP system, fuel door errors and I forget what else.
Did Ford change things on the Gen 2, I don't know, haven't read any posts on the Gen 2 section yet on problems fueling up.

Totally agree,he was at fault, and damn insurance companies will try and get out of as much as they can..but .you would hope since it made the News they would cut him some slack..But damn, what was he thinking...I wouldnt leave a beater running with keys in it,let alone a Raptor...sure hope he learned his lesson when he gets his new one..!!

Good to know, although I'd never leave mine running while fueling it up...it would take another 2 gallons just sitting there to top off the 26..LOL..!
