And the dealers that I have spoke with won't commit on a price either. So, that's another issue...for those of you that have a DORA, did the dealer commit to a MSRP cost?

Yes on my DORA it is a MSRP price (supposedly committed) however it IS a PRE ORDER not an actual order,,,so this is something we have to take it with a grain of salt I think. My sales guy did mentioned that it is in the qued once the order bank open up i'm in line. Again, whatever that mean?

This is what my experience is just got the DORA yesterday perhaps someone that received the DORA maybe a month ago or so can chime in? I like to know more as well....thanks!

I called multiple dealers in Dearborn, MI where the truck is built, and they aren't taking orders either. So what is going on with all these people ordering?

Just because you get an order in and a Dora doesn't mean your truck is on its way to being built that day. Ford has to send that dealer their allocations and the order needs to get pulled and scheduled for build. My order sat in the bank for 8 months with a Dora with no movement because the dealer didn't have an allocation to get pulled. That's why I've been telling people don't excited till you get your Vin and build date... then something is really happening. Hope this makes sense.

Yes when the banks open up your order will drop in line as long as that dealer has allocations to be pulled and your allocation has to be the first of theirs pulled. I've seen the 5 spot get pulled before the 1 spot for the 2017's. As for MSRP the dealer has the option to go back when the truck comes and say we've decided to charge 5 over and there's nothing you can do about it... my advice is get something in writing and have it signed so you have a legal take on it. Unless you know your sales person on a personal level and can guarantee they won't back out of MSRP. Better to be safe than sorry.

You know what? YOu have a good point,,,today i'm sending the deposit money I will ask them for something in writing on the MSRP. However, we're prepared to walk if we have to. Not into the bait and switch but the guy seem like a good guy especially since i told him about the forum,,the last thing he want to be blasted on here lol

If they won't do it I'd walk... cause what does that tell you about their intentions on the deal when it comes to life? Now they can't guarantee you a certain price cause the msrp could change from now to when the truck is pulled... probably won't happen but you're asking for a guarantee of msrp. My guy did it for me so I know it can be done if their truly going to do msrp. Good luck with everything man [emoji1303]

FYI:
Just got a call from my dealer today... He said All his outstanding 2017 Raptor orders will be converted to 2018 orders.... His source was the district MGR.
I have had my Raptor on order since January 2017. He went on to say that there will be a 1% to 2% price increase over the 2017 model year. Crap is all I can say. This means another five months of waiting.

This sounds like a dealer that was putting in orders without an allocation for it. I would find a new dealer.

Another variable to look at is where you stand in the allocation line. From what Ive seen, if there are no holds they will usually pull in order.

If we assume there are 10 months of building for a model year and that dealers allocation is 10 then you can kind of assume forthe most part they pull one a month from that dealer.

If that dealer is getting only 2-3 then it may be a long wait depending on the time of year. On the other hand you could come up on a dealer with an unspoken allocation ready to be pulled.

If your salesperson is oblivious, then chat with the inventory manager.
