Hey all, just joined the forum. I put down a deposit 6/27 on an 18 Raptor and my dealer placed an order 6/28. Still no scheduled start date... Does this sound right? When should I receive a VIN number? After getting a scheduled start date or after the build starts?

Going to depend a lot on where you lie in the dealer's allocation line. Push him for more info. Are you 1st, 10th, etc?

I show up as priority number 19 on the order form.

Meaningless number without knowing what numbers they use for what. They could use 19 for priority orders and 20 for regular. Mine is 19 also and I was their first '18 to get pulled.

Yeah i figured it didn't have much value. All I know is i was the 2nd raptor order they placed. But no idea if they have spots open for sale that would take priority.

1) how many 2018 Raptor allocations do they have?
2) which of the allocations is for my order?
3) when do you anticipate my allocation getting pulled?

Got email from Bill Utter - truck confirmed built 7/21 waiting for train or maybe QA.

When did you order your truck from Bill Utter? I ordered mine on 7/14 and was told I was the 6th in line. Have yet to receive any info past the order number.

Back in mid May just after the order books opened - I was 3rd in line. I am now dealing with a man named Rey. Mitch left last week.

Based I what I was told by Mitch they have about 30 allocations for the year so that would work out to 3-ish builds a month (resources allowing) - my guess is you'll hear about a your build in mid August or possible mid September.

Be advised - these are all guesses on my part.

If you have your order number and the dealer number you might be able to get information elsewhere in the web - they seem to need those two and your last name. I believe one of the Ford chats might have status info but they will not give you your VIN.

I believe my early VIN was due to the fact that I was in the first week's production. They had a couple of weeks to load up the computers for week 1 - after that things happen on a week-to-week basis.

Exact response "the word is we have two Raptor allocations both of which are no longer available. We are waiting to get our third allocation."

Not happy because i was told i placed the second order. Question is, do dealers get more allocations or should I be looking for a refund on my deposit and looking elsewhere?

Yea, I just called Ford Performance and it is still showing "unscheduled" so I guess it will be a little while. My sales guy is Rob. I was overly concerned about the tailgate without the Applique having the stamped F150 on the tailgate and the sales guy told me about a truck coming in the first week of August that I could look at. That might have been yours...if you deleted the Applique.
