I live a few miles from the factory and dealership.

The Premium Care was $2665.00 and the Tire&Wheel was $900.

Thanks. Very useful information. What was the list price and deductible of your Premium Care policy? I'm very much leaning towards buying it considering all the new tech on these trucks.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but Tire and Wheel protection on a truck like this seems like a total waist of money. The thing is designed to drive over pot holes, doubt it would cover off road damage.

I suppose with the tires inflated at road speed pressures the chances are a bit higher of damaging a wheel or tire, still the chances are pretty damn low.

Even though chance of damage is low driving normally, I rather have that protection for 6 years and not need it than not have it and shell out some bucks to replace a tire and wheel. Murphy's Law.

I don't remember the msrp on it but the deductible is $100.

Looks like my wait is almost over. Ford Perf says my truck is at the rail yard here in town awaiting ground transport to the dealer. They bumped up my ETA to Sep 2-4, whereas before it was 4 -10.

Ordered from dealer on 7/16/17
Build date on 8/26/17
Awaiting info to populate on the ETIS system
Dealer suspects delivery around 9/17/17. I think that might be optimistic considering I have the spray in bed-liner, but i'll update here with final date so others can use it as reference.

Can't wait!

I ordered my 2018 on 6/9 and have yet to be scheduled. My dealer (located in the mid west) told me I was the 2nd allocation (their first was scheduled in early July) and would sell at MSRP. Screw, 802A, LF, no beadlock, no CF. I gave them a small deposit and received a DORA.

I received the below after asking for an update. I have had no complaints so far and the dealer has been very responsive/helpful. I was referred to them by a forum member (I'm in SoCal, the land of $30k markups). However, I'm starting to get concerned I'm getting the run around. Does the below seem correct/accurate?



So from my conversation with our rep, I think I have a little better idea on how this works. Ford performs a wholesale allocation at the end of every month. This is when we as Dealer's sign up for all of our cars and trucks that we are committing to ordering for the following month. But it is also when Ford determines how many vehicles they can produce. Once they figure out what their capacity is, they then divide that up among all the countries in the Region. We are in the *** Region. Within each region are multiple zones, we are in Zone W.

So say Dearborn determines they have the capacity to build 1,000 orders for the month. *** region may receive 100 of those. Then it is split among the zones and our zone may get 5. These are all hypothetical numbers obviously.

But after visiting with my Rep, she stated that she has 30 Sold orders yet to be scheduled in our zone. The wholesale for this month will start sometime after the 25th. She said she would try to give us preference on one of the scheduling possibilities that she receives. Typically she gets 4 a month is what she said.

So hopefully, I can receive the okay to build this upcoming month and the truck will be built in September.

I was shocked at how many sold orders she still has to get through for our region. I kinda assumed a lot of dealers were starting to order them for stock and not retail orders.

Hope that sheds some light on it. the good news is that we are one of the top 5 dealers in our zone, so hopefully that means we can throw some of our weight around and convince her to choose our order over some of the other dealers!

Nice...Since you have owned both, does the SCAB seem smaller and perhaps a little more nimble?

I sure like the looks of a SCAB over a SCREW.

Since 2007, I have owned 6 different F-150's- 4 SCREW's, 2 SCAB's, 3 of them have been Raptors (2012 SCREW, 2017 SCREW, 2018 SCAB). I'm 58 years old, and the only time the extra cab space is used is either for my firearms or my grandkids. With that being said, I LOVE the SCAB vs. the SCREW. Plus, I so-much like the SCAB "look" vs. the SCREW. AND, less than 10 percent of Raps are SCABs. And yes, it seems more nimble (being a foot shorter), weighs slightly less than a SCREW, and allows an extra foot of space in the garage.
