2018 or 2019? Live valve shocks worth it?

I just recently got a 2018. The difference for the '19 after test driving back and forth on the roads didn't feel much different to me. Not knocking anything said about off-road so far... The purchase for 19 was around 9000 more (for me/and this deal) than the 18. I had a hard time deciding really. My friend put it in perspective for me when he said is there anything about the 19 that you want to pay 9000 more for? (The 18 was exactly the same except for color) So I went with the 18 and I'm glad I did. Man, I really like this truck.
Great decision. That leaves you $9000 to use for modifications that you will definitely enjoy and care about.

$9000 and I would have absolutely swung for the 18 I test drove. My difference between the two I was looking at (18 vs 19) got down to below $4000 when accounting for the trade difference between the two dealerships and the 18 didn’t have the beadlocks that I wanted, so I had to account for another $2k for those. That made the decision to get the 19 easy for me. $9k though and I’d be in an 18 right now and loving it.

Do your research...There are many more changes besides the live valve shocks...which by the way are definitely worth it off road...on road you won't probably notice. More tech including trail control, gauges and recaro seat option which are amazing in their look and feel and durability while keeping you more planted in the seat while driving...especially off road. The 19 model year is considered a refresh.

You forgot to mention you get a fancy engine cover which matches the hood Louvres as well. Small change but looks cool while your under the hood.

The ‘19s can I say are more level in stance, Requiring only a 1.5” adjustment vs 2.25-2.50” for previous versions. I’d actually like to know what has caused that change? Different front springs? Something I recently learned.

I wish they would have put Nav and music info on the driver LCD as well. But otherwise it does have a lot of nice features.

You won’t notice the difference nearly as much on road. Off road is where the 19 shines over the 17/18
