2018 Gen 2 Dead Battery/Replacement Recommendations

Have a 2018 with a battery that has struggled to crank for the last couple weeks. Short trips have required the use of the portable charger a couple of times. Long trips seem to recharge it well enough. So... time to replace the battery, I think. Any recommendations? Doesn’t immediately appear that my local stores have in stock... order or take to local Ford Dealer? Thoughts? Thanks!

Have you checked your battery cables to make sure they are clean and tight, before getting a new battery? Are you running your battery down with accessories or is your truck stock? Nothing wrong with the factory battery for the price. Plenty of better ones out there too though. If your battery is toast, I would whine at the dealer about it and get a discount on a new one.

Thanks for the replies! Stock truck here, so I did what you suggested and went to the closest Ford dealership and got a replacement stock battery and they gave me 15% off of the initial quote. I had done a little additional research and several of the other recommended batteries were out of stock.

start/stop hasn't been working well on my truck since year two (a 20218 Raptor), likely battery not fully charging with all short distance (<10 miles) rides.
now 5 yrs old batteries and passenger passive entry is not working. I understand it has to do with lower battery charge hold.
Any recommendation on good batteries?
