I’m looking for some advice and feedback on swapping my front springs and rear leafs. I imagine a lot of these questions are pretty basic, so I apologize as I am not as well versed as the majority on this forum.
1: after looking through various posts, I think I have decided on Geiser springs in the front. Is there any major drawback to Geisers vs Eibachs - specifically regarding progressive vs linear? My thought is progressive would behave more like stock, while adding the height and leveling the truck.
2: in the rear with Deavers+3 do you need the drop shackle to level the truck, or does it sit level without? I have read mixed comments on the forum regarding what is level.
3: I’m located in the broader Houston area, so any feedback on install locations? @OffroadAlliance.com has been mentioned before, but it is a bit of a haul for me, although I am fine with that if they perform good work at competitive pricing.
4: any thing else I need to be looking at with the install of Geisers/Deavers? Control Arms, etc. or is the install of those two compatible with the rest of the truck stock? I don’t want to impact the off-road capabilities (outside of minor sacrifices on center of gravity, etc).
5: lastly, what does the install cost of this setup run (in general)? Not including the cost of parts, but typical labor costs, shop costs, etc?
thanks for any feedback.
