GEN 2 2018 , Collision warning not available sensor blocked

Bumped into a deer the other night at maybe 5 - 10 mph. Almost had it shut down. Deer lived and moved on. Truck, no visual damage, slobber on passenger headlight, body bumped low center of truck. Now I got this flashing periodically, I can click ok but it comes back immediately and won't go away. At times when I run the truck it will take awhile before this starts to occur. There are times where the code will flash on dash but stay gone for long periods of time then come back and start popping up again. Feel like maybe the censors behind the lower bumper cover are mis aligned or loose now. Any thoughts?

Had the same thing happen to me. Didn’t think it damaged anything but sure enough it was the sensor.

I was able to get down in there tonight and found that the silver part of the bumper was bent in slightly, just enough to pop the collision sensor piece loose from its mount. Snapped it back in, one corner, put the black Lower cover back on and no problem. Fixed. Done. One of the collision sensor bolt mounts is located on the silver bumper and was bent upwards and in. I will go back in and straighten that mount item out soon.
