What about all of the control arm bushings? Steering rack? Body mounts? Engine mounts? Transmission mounts? It's all rubber.my understanding is ball joints aren’t necessarily sold for Raptors, but that was kinda the case for my C5Z & I got moog ones that fit & was able to press them into the OEM forged A-arms. I would think the cost of the whole a-arm assembly w/ ball joint is pretty damn expensive vs just ball joints themselves, which you could change out yourself too. Sway bars & endlinks are available (hellwig/moog/mevotech) you may need to replace wheel bearings
Again- On a different vehicle my C5Z- the bushings for the upper/lower control arms where they attach to the frame are injection molded rubber of some sort (not sure on raptor would have to check) & can’t really be pressed out cleanly but they’re also tucked in tight to the body & on a car like a vette that sees no salt/snow limited rain & sits indoors a lot there’s not a lot of reason for those bushings to degrade- they were/are still quite supple so I left em in place & instead media blasted the arms & gave em a black epoxy coating, pressed in new moog greaseable ball joints, replaced front/rear sway bars + bushing + end links, the inner/outer tie rods/toe links all 4 corners, the steering rack, the wheel bearings, the steering rack bushing (yep), the motor mounts (poly), swapped the thin stamped steel tunnel plate for a thick billet aluminum one etc etc etcWhat about all of the control arm bushings? Steering rack? Body mounts? Engine mounts? Transmission mounts? It's all rubber.
Nobody is refeshing all of it. It's too expensive. That's why new trucks ride so nice and are so smooth compared to old trucks.
I did the whole front end on my last truck myself minus the LCA bushings. Everything from the steering box out. It was a huge improvment over the 100K stuff for sure. Still not as good as a new truck though.
